The Recommendations Table lists every action in your plan. You can filter, sort, search, and bulk-manage recommendations from this view.
Columns
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Action | The recommended action type (Create, Expand, Optimize title, etc.) |
| What to do | A plain-language description of the specific recommendation |
| Site URL | The existing page URL, or "Create" / "New page" for missing content |
| Potential visits/mo | Estimated monthly traffic gain if the action is completed |
| Search volume | Combined search volume of keywords associated with the recommendation |
| Difficulty | Average keyword difficulty for the associated keywords |
Filters and quick filters
Four Quick Filters at the top of the table let you instantly filter by category:
- Missing content
- Underperforming
- Site structure
- Quick wins
Quick filters can be combined - selecting multiple filters shows recommendations matching any of the selected categories. The badge on each filter shows the count of active recommendations in that category.
You can also use column-level filters:
- Site URL
- Potential visits/mo
- Search volume
- Difficulty
Two additional toggles control visibility of completed and skipped items:
- Show done - show or hide recommendations you have marked as Done
- Show skipped - show or hide recommendations you have marked as Skip
Click any column header to sort. Potential visits/mo is sorted descending by default, so your highest-impact actions always appear first.
Working with Individual Recommendations
Click 'Fix row' button in the Recommendations Table to open the Recommendation Details panel. This gives you the full context, metrics, and guidance for that specific action.
What you'll see in the details panel
- Action title and subtitle - a plain-language description of what to do and why
- Explanation - a detailed rationale explaining the problem, the opportunity, and why the recommended action will help
- Key metrics - depending on the action type, you'll see a combination of:
- Estimated impact (potential visits/mo)
- Keywords count (total and missing)
- Topic coverage percentage
- Topic focus percentage
- Current ranking position
- Current clicks/mo and impressions
- SEO details - a breakdown of the specific keywords involved, including which ones are missing from your current page content, with links to competitor data and difficulty scores
Click Fix with RankDots to launch the content creation flow directly from the recommendation. RankDots will pre-fill all content settings based on the recommendation data.
Managing Recommendation Status
As you work through your action plan, you can mark recommendations to track your progress.
Status options
- Active - the default state; recommendation is in your plan and awaiting action
- Done - you have completed this action; the recommendation is moved out of the active view
- Skipped - you have decided not to act on this recommendation right now
Select multiple rows using the checkboxes to apply status changes in bulk.
Showing and hiding completed items
By default, Done and Skipped recommendations are hidden from the table to keep your active plan focused. Use the Show done and Show skipped toggles to bring them back into view when you need to review or undo a status change.
