From a domain or a topic to published, improving content, RankDots works in six stages: you start a project, the analysis runs, your plan arrives sorted, you choose what to build, you create the content, and - once Google Search Console is connected - Opportunities keeps recommending what to do next. One short stop at each below.
1 · Start a project
You give RankDots three things: your domain or a keyword, a language and a country. If you start from a keyword, RankDots shows the keyword groups it found and asks you to keep the ones that match your business. If you start from your domain, it also reads your site as data - your current pages, your live rankings, your competitors’ footprint - before building anything. Create your first project.
2 · The analysis runs
Everything happens in the background: keywords are discovered from many sources and checked for relevance and real demand, analysed, grouped into pages, clustered into topics, and prioritised. You see placeholder cards and a short progress notice while it runs - and the results all at once, when the project is ready. What happens during analysis [link is coming]
3 · Your plan arrives, sorted
A finished project is a three-level plan: topic clusters contain pages, pages contain keywords - the three counts in the sidebar. Each page is a content idea with the keywords it must cover; each level carries an estimate of the traffic you could realistically reach; and the whole plan opens with the biggest opportunities on top, plus a guided step-by-step start if you want one. The RankDots method in five steps.
4 · Choose what to build
This is where your judgement takes over. Pick a topic cluster that fits your business, open its pages, and read two columns together: Potential traffic - what a page could realistically gain - and Weak spots - how many of its current results your site could beat with content alone. The plan proposes an order; the choice stays yours. How to choose your first topic [link is coming]
5 · Create the content
For any page, Create content opens a three-step flow: settings proposed from what already ranks, an outline you can edit, and a generated document to refine in the editor and export. Prefer your own writing tools? The same brief exports as an LLM-ready package instead. Either way, one page becomes one piece of content on one URL. How content creation works.
6 · Connect Search Console — and keep improving
Connecting Google Search Console turns the estimates into measurements and unlocks Opportunities: RankDots scans your real pages, positions and clicks, compares them with the plan, and recommends specific actions - create a missing page, expand a thin one, split a crowded one - each with an estimated monthly impact, sorted so the biggest wins come first. What is Opportunities?
Then it loops
Publish, and the loop closes: Search Console measures how your new content performs, a rescan refreshes the recommendations, and the next most valuable action rises to the top. Plan, create, measure, improve - the six stages are not a staircase you climb once, but a cycle you run, and every screen in the app is one station on it.
